Tufted ducks – Kent

Looks like spring has sprung, we finally have some decent weather to look forward to and who knows, Fenster the bearded dragon may even decide to come out of brumation, will post a pic if he does.  In the meantime, heres a couple of Tufted ducks (Aythya fuligula) out for a swim that i took a couple of days ago near Sevenoaks, Kent.

    • Thanks, i actually went looking for kingfishers but no luck. I needed a 500mm lens for these guys too, and i cropped it a bit 🙂

      • Ah, yes, my sister and brother-in-law have been watching a kingfisher near where they live in Devon so I’m really hoping it will make an appearance when we visit at Easter! I’m limited by my lenses too. Could only afford a Tamron 75-300 and it’s not a bad lens for the price but no where near enough for the wildlife work I want to do.
