This picture of mine appeared on the Daily Mail website twice last week here and here

The picture was licensed through Alamy so how it was found amongst the thousands of other London Eye/Southbank pics i’ll never know. Incidently, I found the usage through Google image search.

It was the only time we saw the sun in 4 days and this was from our last night.

Definately worth the wait though….

After a quick edit from my last trip I thought i’d post these pictures.

The cheetah and baby elephant were taken in the Masai Mara, the lioness in Amboseli National Park. As usual, the best of the rest will be available to license through Alamy in the next few weeks.

Howletts Wild Animal Park

Here’s a few pictures from a trip to Howletts in Kent. The animal park, together with Port Lympne, was set up by John Aspinall to protect and breed rare animals.

A different kind of Christmas tree

With the Big C fast approaching I notice lots of people are posting pictures of their Christmas trees. Well here’s one that most people will not have seen before. It’s not actually a plant but a worm that disappears back into its hole if you get too close, no suprise then, that it’s called a Christmas tree worm. You may even notice a resemblance to a plant in the film Avatar.

I’m so common. Literally. Whenever I come to sign up to anything my name has always been taken, so I needed to think of something else I could use. I’ve been diving 18yrs now and nudibranchs have always been the top of my list, so here it is, a fat warty old seaslug/nudibranch called Nembrotha
